Plenty of capable kids in Canada grow up without anyone steady in their corner. Newcomer teens work out a new language and culture on their own. Bright students miss programs their families can't stretch to pay for. A quiet kid with real gifts never gets told they could lead.
We stay with young people from grade school through to their first job or first day on campus. We match them with mentors they can trust, open up after-school help, sport and leadership programs, and fund scholarships that make college and university possible.
Better grades are part of it. But the real change is belonging, and grit, and a generation of young Canadians who turn around and show up for their own communities, because someone showed up for them first.
